Book Review: Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars (rounded up to 5 on Goodreads)

I loved this book! Apprentice to the Villain is the second book in the Assistant to the Villain series and was even better than the first.

The characters are funny, endearing, and well developed. I loved the worldbuilding. There’s a chapter that focuses on one of the side characters that is so visually developed and has a very Alice in Wonderland feel to it.

A thoroughly enjoyable read. My biggest complaint is that the next book doesn’t come out for another year!

Content advisory: strong language (infrequent), violence, gore
