Book Review: The North Wind by Alexandria Warwick

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

The North Wind is an atmospheric tale with interesting characters and an amusing plotline. I thought the worldbuilding was decent and I found myself reaching for this over another book I was reading several times. I wanted to see what would happen next!

I thought this was a good read at first, but it took a turn in the last quarter that took away from the book as a whole for me. There was a story element near the end that just made no sense considering the characters’ circumstances, and the last twenty percent of the book or so felt more like hurried vignettes that had kind of been smooshed together rather than a fully developed ending.
