Book Review: The Love of My Afterlife by Kirsty Greenwood
Rating: 4.75 stars of 5
I loved The Love of My Afterlife! By the time I had reached page 5 on August 4, I had written down in my notes, “This is going to be turned into a movie. 100%. Zero doubt.” I felt quite vindicated when I later heard that the movie rights for it had indeed been purchased.
It’s a colorful, delightful story with likeable characters, and I found myself laughing aloud more than once as I read it. Still, it had a counterbalancing groundedness to it at times. There was a paragraph about grief in chapter 32 that I found moving, and at another point, I cried!
What a cute story. I loved it. I loved the ending. I want to read it again.
I routinely take off up to a full point from my ratings for the presence of strong language, but otherwise, this was a 5-star book for me.
